Building a brand with Heart of Joseph Workshop

Brand identity, marketing collateral

Client: Heart of Joseph Workshop

Heart of Joseph Workshop is a family-owned small business specializing in handmade products for home prayer spaces. HJW's signature offering is custom-made crucifixes with materials sourced from Italy. The company is fueled by a passion for quality and accessibility, aiming to make beautiful and meaningful products for the everyday person.

The Challenge

As a newly formed small business, Heart of Joseph was in need of branding and guidance on a modest budget. With products at the ready but no branding, packaging or social media presence, I was challenged to provide value-packed "brand essentials" to get their business started on the right foot.

The Solution

Since resources were limited, my first objective was to work with the founders to create a system, price point and time frame that they were comfortable with. With our custom project plan in hand, we explored the basics of their brand core, touching on brand mission, vision, values, target audience, and general marketing goals. From there we dove into the actual design.

Knowing that HJW needed the most bang for their buck, I provided an additional secondary brand mark to stretch their brand presence further and provide a more immersive experience for their customers.
